Real Impact.

We have worked with Somalia’s leading universities to build architecture education from the ground up, developing national curricula, mentoring faculty, and helping establish the country’s first architecture programs.

We have initiated and led architectural heritage and conservation efforts in Somalia, including the introduction of the country’s first academic courses in this field. Through documentation, fieldwork, and research, we are contributing to the preservation of endangered sites and reconnecting communities with their built history.

We’ve empower hundreds of students through mentorship, workshops, and national seminars, helping them form architecture student associations and professional networks. Many of these students now lead initiatives across Somalia’s public and private sectors.

From public talks to urban walks, MM Architects has actively led and participated in heritage walks, exhibitions, and public lectures that deepen understanding of architecture’s role in restoring resilience and shaping the identity of cities and communities.

Our work has contributed to the formation of the Somali Institute of Architects (SIA) and the development of the Somali Architecture and Planning Association (SAPA), and international partnerships that connect universities, practitioners, and institutions toward shared professional standards and architectural advocacy.
